Manchester City’s David Silva to sign £150,000-a-week extension after drawn out talks
DAVID SILVA is reportedly set to sign a one-year extension at Manchester City.
The playmaker, 31, has been in talks since the start of the season as the two sides struggled to come to terms.
And the Daily Mail claims Silva is closing in on a £150,000-a-week deal, which would take him until the end of the 2019-20 season.
Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the Spanish international - who has plans to end his career at Las Palmas - but has unfinished business at City.
Since arriving from Valencia in 2010, he has won every domestic trophy, with Champions League success eluding him.
And former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss Guardiola looks to have tied down one of his key men as he aims to deliver continental glory.

Guardiola has been boosted by the fact Sergio Aguero returned to training just days after breaking a rib in an Amsterdam car crash.
The striker’s taxi hit a pole while he was being whisked from a concert to a private jet on his day off at the end of September.
Argentina team doctor Donato Villani painted a bleak picture for the ex-Atletico Madrid man.
He said: “Sergio is in a very bad way emotionally. He can't move around his house, or get in and out of a car. He won't be able to play for a month and a half."
