Liverpool transfer news: Reds put on alert as PSG star Adrien Rabiot admits he is ‘very fond’ of Jurgen Klopp’s side
French midfielder has signalled his intentions for a new challenge in the future and highlighted a move to the Premier League
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN ace Adrien Rabiot has thrown the door open over a move to Liverpool.
The talented midfielder admitted he has ambitions to play in the Premier League in the future.
Rabiot, who has been at the club since the age of 15, has started every match of PSG's league campaign so far.
Now 22, Rabiot is establishing himself with the French national side but concedes he won't play at PSG for his entire career.
And he could make the switch to England, hinting that Liverpool would be his preferred destination.
Speaking on international duty, he said: "I think I would like to experience something else [outside Ligue 1]
"There are a lot of very good championships, it's also very rewarding to go elsewhere.
"I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young."
Rabiot was part of the Manchester City academy in 2008 but only lasted a year before moving back to France.
He has been linked with previous moves to Arsenal but a move to Manchester United may be out of the question.
That is because he revealed he almost had two bust-ups with Swedish ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
He said: "The first encounter with Ibrahimovic took place during a friendly match in the United States.
"Zlatan got pissed on me because I played stupidly. But he had lost the ball and I had to take a card to compensate for his mistake.
"I became angry and insulted Zlatan. It was not smart."
