Real Madrid transfer news: Barcelona and Zinedine Zidane’s side in race to sign Valencia’s 17-year-old wonderkid for £7m
REAL MADRID and Barcelona are fighting it out to sign Valencia wonderkid Ferran Torres.
The 17-year-old has caught the eye of La Liga's two behemoths after starring for his club's reserve side in Segunda Division B.
And Super Deporte claim that both Barca and Real are prepared to meet his £7million release clause.
Torres is under contract until 2019, but with his buyout at such a cheap price, Spain's biggest rivals are confident they can strike up a deal.
The duo will face competition from abroad for the teen sensation.
Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also keen on the starlet, but it is the two giants of Spain who have already made their intentions clear to Valencia to nab their rising crown jewel.
They reportedly sent scouts to watch him as far back as 12 months ago - although neither have yet to make a firm offer.
Valencia are desperate to hold on to Torres and hope to convince him to commit his future to them.
And their start to the season will help them in that department.
They currently sit third in La Liga behind leaders Barca and second placed Sevilla.
