Willian deals Manchester United blow by revealing he wants to stay at Chelsea for ‘years’
WILLIAN has delivered a blow to Manchester United's hopes of signing him by admitting he is keen to stay at Chelsea.
United boss Jose Mourinho tried to sign the Brazilian midfielder in the summer as he continued to rebuild his squad at Old Trafford.
Mourinho worked closely with the 29-year-old during his time in charge at Stamford Bridge when he was a vital part of his plans.
And he felt he could play a similar role at United as the club look to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles this season.
But speaking to FourFourTwo, the Chelsea star appeared to make it clear he was more than happy with life at Stamford Bridge.
Willian said: “I've won titles and made history at Chelsea.
“I've experienced incredible moments at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“I think I managed to keep improving my football even during difficult periods for the team. I've managed to maintain a high level of performance.
