Everton sound out ex-Watford boss Walter Mazzarri as potential replacement for under-fire Ronald Koeman
Former Watford boss is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League if the Dutchman leaves Goodison Park
EVERTON are already looking at replacements for Ronald Koeman and have sounded out Walter Mazzarri to take over as boss, SunSport understands.
The Toffees have had a poor start to the season, losing four Premier League matches already.
Koeman was given the dreaded vote of confidence by the Everton board yesterday, despite fans calling for his head.
But it is understood the club are already looking at other options, with the ex-Watford manager on their list.
Everton are believed to have contacted Mazzarri following their 1-0 home defeat to Burnley on Sunday.
He has been without a job since being axed by the Hornets towards the end of last season.
It is thought he would be interested in taking over at Everton, and wants to give the Premier League another crack.
Mazzarri is ready to fly to Liverpool this week to be interviewed, should Koeman be given the axe.
