Tottenham transfer news: Ademola Lookman move being considered by Spurs after slow start to season at Everton

England Under-21 winger is yet to feature in Premier League this season despite bursting onto the scene last term

TOTTENHAM are considering a move for Everton youngster Ademola Lookman, according to reports.

The Toffees beat Spurs to the England Under-21 star's signature in January after agreeing an £11million fee with Charlton.

But Lookman, 19, has found game time limited under Ronald Koeman and has started just two matches - the Europa League clashes against Hajduk Split in August - this season.

And Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is weighing up whether to make another move for the highly-rated teen, according to the Mirror.

Crystal Palace and Huddersfield are also said to be interested in the winger.

Lookman scored 11 league goals in two seasons at Charlton after forcing his way into the senior team as an 18 year old in 2015.

He got his Everton career off to a flier by scoring with his first shot in his debut against Manchester City in January's 4-0 Premier League win - in front of the Goodison Park faithful.

Lookman went on to make seven more league appearances towards the end of last term but has been trusted only in the Europa League and EFL Cup this term.

Pochettino has adjusted his Spurs formation to include wing-backs, with the number of natural wingers at his disposal limited.

Erik Lamela could return from a long-term injury next month, but Moussa Sissoko has found his feet in North London as a central midfielder rather than wide man.

⚽ Ian Wright's Premier League Tips ⚽

Former striker Ian Wright selects his top tips for Saturday's action.

"Romelu Lukaku has started exactly as you’d want a £75m signing to start.

"Not only has he scored a load of goals but he’s also silenced those questioning his link-up play and the first touch.

"He’s the only player in my mind when it comes to the first goalscorer market - and I fancy United to get loads againsrt Crystal Palace."

So Poch's interest in Lookman could be to allow for new formations if his Plan A does not work.

Spurs have also been linked with a move for Everton playmaker Ross Barkley.

The England international amazingly rejected the chance to join Chelsea after changing his mind halfway through a medical.

Spurs may go back in for the Toffees outcast, who has not featured this season, in January.
