Vincent Kompany arrives for Manchester City clash with West Brom as he targets return to action after injury
VINCENT KOMPANY has reported back for Manchester City duty in style - by arriving for the Caraboa Cup clash with West Brom in a chauffuer-driven car.
Kompany has been out of action since the end of August after suffering a calf injury on international duty with Gibralter.
But the inspirational captain is now hoping to make his first City appearance since August 26 when they take on the Baggies in the third round tonight.
Kompany looked a picture of focus and concentration as he was driven into the Etihad Campus to link up with the rest of the City squad.
Boss Pep Guardiola ordered his stars to come together for a pre-match meeting at the Etihad Stadium before they sit down for a team meal.
And the City boss looks to be taking the competition seriously judging by the top stars who joined Kompany in making their way in to work.
While other sides have used the competition as an opportunity to make wholesale changes, Guardiola is expected to still have plenty of his international players on show.
Leroy Sane will be hoping to start as he tries to rediscover the excellent form his showed in his debut season in the north west.
