Chelsea starlet Brad Collins cleared of spitting at rival while playing for Forest Green at Lincoln
Tempers flared at the conclusion of Forest Green's 1-0 defeat at Lincoln City after the goalkeeper allegedly spat at an opposing player
THE FA have found no evidence of any wrongdoing by Brad Collins following allegations of spitting at the end of the 1-0 defeat at Lincoln.
The cold and stormy conditions during the game transferred to the players at the end of the League 2 clash as tempers erupted and an on-pitch brawl broke out.
In a statement from the club, Forest Green said they worked closely with the FA in their investigation in to the allegation made about the player on loan from Chelsea.
Lincoln defender Sean Raggett accused the 20-year-old of spitting at him and took to twitter to shame his rival.
He tweeted: "Embarrassing to have their goalkeeper spit at me during the game, makes the 1-0 win even sweeter."
Ragget, who is on loan from Norwich, became furious on the pitch and the pair got in to an angry altercation which escalated as their teammates rushed in to their defence.
Lincoln boss Danny Cowley was also adamant that it was Collins that instigated the wrangle and caused his players to "lose their cool".
After the match vented his disappointment, saying: "We'll be looking back [at the footage] because you don't wan't that in football.
