West Ham supporters poke fun at ‘Dildo Brothers’ owners by taking inflatable sex toy to clash with Huddersfield
David Sullivan and David Gold attacked by Sporting Lisbon over business history but fans see the funny side as Hammers claim first win of the season
WEST HAM fans poked fun at their Dildo Brothers owners by taking an inflatable sex toy to the club's clash with Huddersfield.
Hammers owners David Sullivan and David Gold came under attack for their business past last week by Sporting Lisbon after a row broke out following their failed attempts to sign William Carvalho.
Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho launched a blistering attack on the pair as he labelled them the "Dildo Brothers".
And the Portuguese club's director Nuno Saraiva accused the duo of being "liars" and parasites as a war of words broke out over whether West Ham had even lodged a bid for Carvalho.
The digs made reference to the careers of Sullivan and Gold, who had made part of their fortune in the adult industry.
It meant a week of negative headlines for the London club, who had found themselves rooted to the foot of the Premier League after failing to collect a point from their first three matches.
But Hammers fans showed they saw the funny side, by sneaking in an inflatable sex toy into the London Stadium before Monday's vital clash with Huddersfield.
It was bounced around the crowd to cheering and laughter - and the good mood continued after the game thanks to the side securing their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory.
Slaven Bilic's side produced a dominant display as he went for broke with an attacking line-up looking for the win that could well have saved his job.
But the Hammers still needed a huge slice of luck to finally make the breakthrough against the stubborn Terriors, as Pedro Obiang's shot took a wild deflection to drop into the top corner.
