Chelsea flop Baba Rahman back in Blues training and pushing for game time under Antonio Conte
Ghana left-back is fit again and reportedly impressing Antonio Conte - after falling off the radar under ex-boss Jose Mourinho
BABA RAHMAN is pressing for a surprise Chelsea return.
The Ghana left-back is back in training and impressing boss Antonio Conte following a long lay-off with a knee injury.
The former Augsburg star, 23, fell off the radar under previous boss Jose Mourinho and played just 13 times on loan for Bundesliga side Schalke last season.
Now Rahman is fully fit but facing the daunting task of trying to dislodge in-form Marcos Alonso at left wing-back.
Ex-Fiorentina hero Alonso, 25, even downed Tottenham with a double as Chelsea won 2-1 at Wembley last month.
Conte had been expected to shop around for another defensive left-sided player until Alonso's electric start to the term
And now the Blues have a more attack-minded option in Rahman hungry for action.
Conte is tipped to register £14million buy Rahman for the Champions League, according to ghanasoccernet.com.
That would complete a big change in circumstances for the speedy flankman.

Only last month he was tipped for another loan spell with Schalke.
But a delay in his return from injury put that plan on hold.
The Blues sold fellow left-back Nathan Ake to Bournemouth for £20m this summer.
So having Rahman roaring again will add balance to the squad in their attempt to retain the Premier League title and mount a serious challenge in Europe.
