Tottenham confirm signing of Juan Foyth from Estudiantes on a five-year deal
TOTTENHAM have confirmed the capture of Juan Foyth from Estudiantes.
Mauricio Pochettino has bagged the Argentina Under-21 international, 19, from his home country.
Foyth has signed a five-year contract at the North London club and attracted interest from Pochettino's side, having secured a regular place in the Estudiantes first team.
The teenager may notice a couple of familiar faces after playing against England in the group stages of the Under-20 World Cup this summer for Argentina, as the Young Lions won 3-0.
Kyle Walker-Peters spent the game on the bench but has broken into the Spurs first team, while Josh Onomah is still property of Tottenham but is on loan at Aston Villa this term.
Foyth said: "I really like this club. I've always followed it since I was a boy.
"I really like the league. I'm focused and now I'm going to try and make the most of it.
"It's a club that believes in young players and I'm very pleased."
