Manchester City in showdown talks with Jadon Sancho to resolve standoff after US tour snub
Winger hasn't trained with Pep Guardiola and Co for over a month as he looks set to join either Arsenal or Chelsea
MANCHESTER CITY are set to hold showdown talks with young winger Jadon Sancho to resolve their standoff following the player's US tour snub.
The England Under-17 international, 17, hasn't trained with Pep Guardiola and Co in over a month in protest, having been left out of the club's pre-season tour.
Sancho recently even turned down a professional deal at the club worth £30,000-a-week - as he worries there's no route into the first XI.
The youngster still has one year to run on his youth deal at the Etihad Stadium.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both expressed their interest in bringing Sancho to London this summer.
Should that happen, City would have to be paid a substantial fee in compensation, owing to his age.
Knowing they face a battle to keep their hot prospect on the books, Guardiola ordered crunch talks in a bid to keep him in Eastlands.
However, City also know they face competition for Sancho's signature on a first professional deal from a host of European giants.

In recent weeks, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Red Bull Leipzig have all expressed interest in the teenager.
In that instance, City would be entitled to around £190,000.
That would represent a major loss, having signed him as well as Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden from Watford for £500,000 two years ago.
