BRIGHTON and Crystal Palace are set to fight it out for £10million Everton outcast Oumar Niasse, according to reports.

Niasse has had a torrid time at Goodison Park and been frozen out by boss Ronald Koeman, who does not rate him.

The Toffees are demanding a fee of £10million for the striker who scored five goals during a loan spell with Hull last season.

And the Guardian are reporting that the asking price could see negotiations go down to the wire.

Newly-promoted Brighton have made two bids to get the Senegal star on loan with the option to buy at the end of the season.

But the offers were rebuffed by the Toffees despite the added £750,000 loan fee on the last bid.

Niasse is under contract with the Merseyside club until 2020 but Koeman has made it clear he has no future there.

He has been barred from training with the first-team and has been keeping his fitness up with the under-23s.

The 27-year-old was signed for Everton for £13.5m from Lokomotiv Moscow last year by former Toffees chief Roberto Martinez.

After going off the boil at Goodison Park, he joined Hull towards the latter stages of last term and tallied four goals in 17 Premier League outings.

Brighton have been linked with the wantaway striker after pulling out of a deal for Raphael Dwamena from Zurich.

But he missed out on the signing of Dwamena because of a failed medical, which has reignited their interest in the forward.

Burnley and Newcastle have also voiced their interest in the wantaway striker.

The Senegalese international was heavily linked with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, but it appears he is bound for a spell on the South Coast.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton is keen to bolster his attack after only managing to scrape one point from his first three fixtures in the top-flight.
