Swansea sign Sam Clucas from Hull City in £16.5million deal in time for ace to face Crystal Palace this weekend

SWANSEA have confirmed the signing of Sam Clucas from Hull City.
The Englishman has joined on a four-year contract for a reported £16.5million fee and is available to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Clucas suffered relegation to the Championship with Hull last season but remained a top target for a number of Premier League clubs.
However, Swansea have won the race for his signature and are sure to be delighted to bolster their ranks with another hard-working midfielder after already landing Roque Mesa from Las Palmas.
Paul Clement has plenty of money to spend after cashing in on Gylfi Sigurdsson, who joined Everton for a whopping £45m.
And 6ft 2in Clucas is sure to give him the strength and height he’s been craving in the centre of the Liberty Stadium pitch.
But nobody appears to be more excited about the move than the player himself, with Clucas announcing he was delighted to be moving to Wales for the new season.
He said: “I can’t wait to get started. It’s all happened very quick. I felt Swansea was the perfect fit for me.

“I played against them a few times last season. It’s a nice family club, lovely facilities, training ground and stadium.
“I’ve played 90 minutes in all the (Hull) pre-season games, played in all the league games so far.
“It’s been tough because in the Championship there’s a lot of fixtures and they build up. But I’m fit and ready to go.”
