Crystal Palace star Andros Townsend could be sold by Frank de Boer to fund new arrivals before the transfer window closes
New Dutch manager has only made one permanent signing at Selhurst Park but is determined to land more of his targets
CRYSTAL PALACE are reportedly ready to offload Andros Townsend in order to bring in new signings.
The winger featured in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Liverpool as question marks surround his future.
But despite playing some part in the game, the Daily Mail claims that Frank de Boer is willing to cash in on Townsend as the Dutchman looks to record his first Premier League win as Eagles boss.
James Tomkins and Martin Kelly are also up for sale as De Boer looks to solve his attacking conundrum.
Palace are yet to score in the new campaign and there may well be another forward joining Christian Benteke before the month is out.
However, one player De Boer is refusing to move for is Mamadou Sakho, who became a fan favourite when he spent six months on loan at Palace last season.
De Boer believes the Anfield outcast isn’t technical enough for his pass-and-move style of football.
But time is running out in the window and supporters will be expecting to see some movement after landing just one permanent signing in Jairo Riedewald.

De Boer said: “We are still looking to see if there is real quality to add to our squad. If there is real quality rather than panic buys, we won’t hesitate.
“The biggest thing at Liverpool was that we were really concentrated and played as a team. We stuck to what we planned before the game and that is a compliment to the squad.
“I said to them if they play with this kind of intensity and discipline the results will come. To lose 1-0 is very disappointing because we deserve more but I am convinced if we show this every week the results will come.”
