Chelsea want Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Bertrand, Danny Drinkwater, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Cedric Soares in £200m spending spree after Diega Costa sale
Antonio Conte still wants more bodies and will fund upcoming deals with outgoing of unwanted £50million Spanish striker
ANTONIO CONTE is not finished yet in this transfer window, and is planning to make FIVE new additions in a £200million spending spree, according to reports.
Reigning champions Chelsea endured a dismal pre-season — and started this campaign with a shock 3-2 home defeat to Burnley.
And The Sunday Express claim the former Juventus and Italy coach now wants to bring in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Danny Drinkwater and three Southampton players in Virgi van Dijk, Ryan Bertrand and Cederic Soares.
Despite the difficult start to the season, for Conte, the priority is merely to add numbers to the squad rather than overhaul the first XI.
However, one potential area for improvement is in the two wing-back slots.
Saints duo Soares and Bertrand are among the best full-back pairing in the league, and would be an upgrade on Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso.
Bertrand left Stamford Bridge for St. Mary's and started the triumphant 2012 Champions League final.
While Van Dijk has been a summer-long target and would drastically improved Chelsea's uncharacteristically wobbly backline.

Southampton are adamant they will only do business on their terms, and a deal would likely set Chelsea back in the region of £150m.
Oxlade-Chamberlain seems ready to leave Arsenal, and is another long-term target for the Blues.
He has shown he is comfortable in a wing-back position, having impressed there last season, while he is equally adept further forward.
With the 24-year-old's contract expiring next summer, he is likely to command a fee of just £25m.
Chelsea are also preparing to increase their offer to the same price for Leicester midfielder, Drinkwater, as they look to increase their quote of homegrown players for the upcoming Champions League campaign.
The reported £50m sale of Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid is likely to fund part of the spree.
