Sam Clucas will cost Burnley £20million after Hull reject their latest offer of around £10m
The Clarets are told to DOUBLE their two previous offers for a 26-year-old whose contract still has two years remaining
BURNLEY have been quoted a staggering £20million by Hull for midfielder Sam Clucas.
The Clarets want Clucas and have twice bid around £10m.
Clucas, 26, has two years to run on his current contract but will consider his future over the next few days.
Hull themselves have failed with a £10m bid for Cardiff striker Kenneth Zohore.
They want the 23-year-old Dane, who has helped to fire Neil Warnock’s side to the top of the Championship.
But the Bluebirds are standing firm after rebuffing an improved offer from their promotion rivals for the former Under-21 international.
Zohore has 15 goals in 30 starts since joining Cardiff 18 months ago.
Hull need attacking reinforcements with Uruguay striker Abel Hernandez out for up to six months after suffering an Achilles injury in Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to Wolves.

He admitted: “I worked with Musa for five years at CSKA Moscow and, for each coach, it is of course better to work with a player you know.”
Slutsky is preparing an improved bid for Oxford winger Marvin Johnson, 26, as well after having a £1m offer rejected last week.
