Burnley are believed to be considering a move for last season’s 27-goal hotshot to replace Andre Gray after the latter joined Watford this week.

A number of other sides are also interested, although the Clarets are leading the chase.

Leeds want around £15million for their Wood, and they will spend that cash on Lasogga to fill the goalscoring void.

Bild are reporting that the Elland Road club have been monitoring the 25-year-old for some time.

Bundesliga outfit Hamburg are keen to get Lassogga off their wage bill.

He earns around £3m-a-year in Germany but has fallen out of favour in recent times.

The German is currently struggling with a thigh injury and is likely to miss this weekend’s cup match against Osnabruck.

The German has demonstrated his deadliness in front of goal in the past.

He has previously netted a hat-trick in just eight minutes against Nurnberg.
