LIVERPOOL could accept Andre Gomes in exchange as Barcelona close in on the signing of Philippe Coutinho, according to reports in Catalonia.
Mundo Deportivo report Nou Camp representatives have arrived in England as they look to finalise a deal for the Brazilian midfielder.
Coutinho has been a long-term target for the Catalans and general director Oscar Grau set off for England this morning for further talks.
The La Liga giants want to bring in a big-name signing to replace the void left by Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain for £198million.
It is understood Coutinho, 25, is keen to move to Barcelona — but Liverpool are demanding a fee of over £80m.
However, Mundo Deportivo also report that Jurgen Klopp is “crazy” about Gomes — and will ask for the Portugal midfielder to be included in any deal.
The 24-year-old signed for Barcelona last summer despite being a target for several top European clubs.
But he has seriously struggled at the Nou Camp and was often booed.

Luis Enrique deployed him in several positions around the pitch — including right-back — but it was an underwhelming campaign at best.
Klopp clearly fancies his chances of helping Gomes rediscover his best form, as the player’s talent is in no doubt.
His arrival would likely see him slot into a deeper midfield role with Adam Lallana moving further forward to replace Coutinho in attack.
