Tottenham 0 Man City 3: John Stones, Raheem Sterling and Brahim Diaz fire Pep Guardiola’s side to crushing victory in Nashville
Pep Guardiola's men in cruise control and could have won by even more in Tennessee
THE Stones will always be famous here in 'Music City' and once played in the Nissan Stadium.
But it was John Stones - rather than Mick Jagger and Co - who got the ball rolling on this easy Manchester City win.
And if Pep Guardiola's men had brought their shooting boots it really could have been a Honky Tonk-ing for Tottenham.
Stones scored a first half header but Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero wasted several chances before Raheem Sterling and Brahim Diaz wrapped it up late on.
In front of more than 56,000 here in Tennessee, both teams served up good chances.
Tottenham could have opened the scoring early on but new keeper Ederson Moraes was out quickly at the feet of Dele Alli.
Instead the opener came at the other end as Kevin de Bruyne swung in a free-kick from the right.
It flicked off Christian Eriksen's head and fell perfectly for Stones who had the simple task of nodding in from close range.

City new boy Kyle Walker caught the eye against the club he left earlier this month - while fellow new full-back Danilo was twice denied by Lloris.
And they were almost caught out when Eriksen's 25 yard free-kick brought an acrobatic save out of Moraes.
Harry Kane burst clear just before the break but lacked composure and lazed his effort over the bar.
If that was a bad miss it was nothing compared to the one Jesus blazed over after De Bruyne squared to him in front of an open net.
Despite it being a friendly, there were some tasty challenges going in with Walker on the receiving end as well as dishing them out.
Sub Aguero could have wrapped the game up but saw two efforts come back off the post and another saved by Michel Vorm.
But Sterling again sprang the offside trap as he raced onto Samir Nasri's pass to beat Vorm - albeit with an unconvincing finish.
And Spanish teen Brahim Diaz scored a cheeky third after Vorm had only parried Phil Foden's low shot.
It means all three of City's goalscorers here were also on the mark in the 4-1 rout of Real Madrid in Los Angeles last week.
Guardiola's men headed for home straight after the game still unsure whether they had done enough to win the International Champions Cup.
