Inter Milan boss reveals Ivan Perisic will be sold to Manchester United if right deal is struck
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho receives boost in pursuit of Croatian star... now it's up to Ed Woodward
INTER MILAN boss Luciano Spalletti has admitted Ivan Perisic will join Manchester United if the price is right.
The Croatian international is the next man Jose Mourinho wants to add to his squad at Old Trafford.
Red Devils chiefs are locked in talks with the Serie A giants over the winger as they attempt to negotiate a deal.
And they will have been boosted by Spalletti’s latest comments.
The former Roma manager said: "He is a fantastic player and if his future was totally up to me, I would definitely keep him.
"However, if an offer comes and the club are satisfied with the money, which will be used to invest in and strengthen the team, he could leave."
Perisic, 28, has been taken on Inter’s pre-season tour of China.
MORE MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER NEWS
Mourinho’s chief transfer negotiator Ed Woodward is only prepared to pay around £40million.
Inter are holding out for an offer closer to £50m.
Perisic scored 11 goals and grabbed 11 assists in an impressive campaign for the Nerazzurri last season.
United have been splashing the cash this summer but have only been able to bring in two recruits so far.
They spent £30m on Victor Lindelof before forking out £75m to bring in striker Romelu Lukaku in from Everton a fortnight ago.
Mourinho complained that he was not happy with the club's transfer business over the course of the summer.

He had given executive vice-chairman Woodward a full list of targets before going off on holiday, and wanted at least four new players in by the time the squad reported back for pre-season training.
But Woodward has again struggled to get some of the deals over the line as he finds it difficult to reign in the valuations other clubs have put on their stars.
