Usain Bolt wants Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho to move fast and re-sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic for 2017-18
Jamaican sprint superstar and famous Red Devils fan has dubbed the Swedish superstar on the greats of world football
USAIN BOLT wants Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho to move fast and re-sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the 2017-18 season.
The Jamaican sprint superstar, 30, was speaking after he clocked an impressive 9.95 seconds to win gold at the Diamond League in Monaco.
When asked whether United should sign him - as an aspiring footballer himself - or Ibrahimovic for next season, Bolt was clear in his answer.
He firmly replied: “For me, I will go with Zlatan…
"Zlatan is one of the greatest hands down.
"For me he really did great for United last season so if we get a chance to sign him back I would go with Zlatan.”
Ibrahimovic's future is currently up in the air after he suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the Europa League last term.
He was released by United at the end of last season but is keen on a return to football.

In the video, Ibrahimovic stokes the rumour mill by saying: “The king of football is coming back.”
Meanwhile, United boss Jose Mourinho has hinted he may bring the Swede superstar back.
When quizzed on his future, the Special One said: “It’s open, of course.
“Why not wait for a player who gave us so much, we are exchanging ideas and it’s with Mr Woodward and Zlatan’s agent but the final decision is what’s best for the player.
“We wanted to be open and honest and left everything for him to make a decision in case his desire was to leave, so there was not a new contract.”
Bolt meanwhile has always been keen to try his hand as a professional footballer, training with French club JS Saint-Jean Beaulieu last year, with rumours also swirling he would be trialling at Borussia Dortmund.
On a career move, Bolt claimed in 2016: "In my mind, I think I should do a trial and see if they would say 'Alright, come on in' or if they would say 'No, you are not any good.'
"I think I would be pretty good because I am fit, I am quick, I can control the ball and I understand all of the play.
"So, I think if I do a trial then they would say, 'You know what, here is a contract for five years!
"You are 30-years-old, here's a five-year contract. Let's just do it!'"
Bolt will retire from his glittering sprinting career after this summer's World Championships in London.
