MATTEO DARMIAN has revealed he wants to stay and fight for his first-team spot at Manchester United, despite interest from Serie A giants Juventus.
The Italian full-back, 27, joined the Premier League side back in 2015 from Torino.
Speculation has been raging all summer that Darmian will make a return to Italy, but the defender himself wants to stay at United.
Darmian said: "Every time I read something about my future... but [there is] nothing news [wise].
"I am happy here. I think also it is a part of our work, these kind of rumours.
"Like I said before, I am happy here so nothing news [wise].
"I am a Manchester United player - that's it."
On where he considers to be his best position, having played on the right or left under Jose Mourinho, Darmian said he's never worried about that.

He added: "I always say the position doesn't matter to me if I have to play left or right.
"I work hard to be ready when the manager gives me an opportunity and that's it.
"I try to do my best every time, every game. I try to work hard during the week and that's my philosophy."
