Manchester United and Tottenham boosted in pursuit of Serge Aurier after Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery ‘confirms he wants to leave’
United are growing frustrated in their pursuit of Monaco defender Fabinho and could focus on snapping up Aurier instead
SERGE AURIER could be heading to the Premier League after Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery confirmed he wants to leave the club.
It will come as a huge boost to Manchester United and Tottenham, who are both in the market for a right-back.
Aurier has been left out of the PSG squad for their game against Tottenham in the US in the International Champions Cup, with Emery saying it's because he is seeking a move.
Speaking to French newspaper L'Equipe, Emery said: "‘I spoke with Serge to tell him that I wanted him to stay.
"He told me that he wants to leave and he preferred staying in Paris to prepare for his departure."
PSG are expected to go with Dani Alves as first choice right-back from his arrival from Juventus, and PSG could accept around £25m for Aurier.
Tottenham are open to replacing Kyle Walker after he joined Manchester City for £50m this week, although Kieran Trippier is believed to be the man to fill his boots.
United, meanwhile, are growing frustrated with Monaco right-back/defensive midfielder Fabinho, with the French outfit desperate not to lose another one of their top talents.

With Atletico Madrid and PSG also interested in the Brazilian, United face entering a bidding war, and Aurier could prove to be a cheaper option.
Jose Mourinho has already secured the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica this summer along with striker Romelu Lukaku.
Aurier was last year refused entry to the UK for PSG’s Champions League clash with Arsenal.
The Ivorian defender was given a two-month suspended prison sentence for assaulting a police officer.
PSG said that a visa had been granted for Aurier to enter the UK but it was later revoked.
Man United are currently on tour in the United States during their pre-season preparations.
