Renato Sanches will cost Manchester United or AC Milan £42million as Bayern Munich confirm they are willing to sell
CEO of Germany giants reveals Sanches will struggle to feature under Carlo Ancelotti and confirms contact with AC Milan
BAYERN MUNICH have confirmed they’re open to selling Manchester United and AC Milan target Renato Sanches.
The Portugal international failed to make an impression during his one and only season at the Allianz Arena.
And Bayern CEO Karl-Heinze Rummenigge admits Sanches will struggle to get minutes under Carlo Ancelotti in the new campaign, paving the way for a stunning exit.
AC Milan are known to be keen after embarking on a huge spending spree.
There is also interest from Manchester United, who missed out on Sanches last summer.
But the two European giants will have to spend big in order to prise him away from the Bundesliga, with Bayern looking for a whopping £42million.
Rummenigge was quoted by TMW as saying: “Sanches will not get enough minutes at Bayern, so we are willing to negotiate his sale either on loan or maybe even something more.
“I’m not the coach but I think Renato needs continuity. I can confirm the interest of AC Milan, but the deal did not go through after contacts last week.
Manchester United transfer news
“If a club is interesting in asking for a Bayern player they should know there are important economic figures [involved].
“I have a feeling Milan are not ready to meet our demands. Though we say it would not hurt if a proposed £42m came for him…”
