But Bild claim three Premier League clubs and Juventus are poised to test Rummenigge's resolve.

Jurgen Klopp is said to have made it clear he wants Muller in his team and has asked Liverpool chiefs to make enquiries.

The report also suggests that talks could take place when Reds visit Munich for the Audi Cup at the start of August.

Muller has long been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena, with Manchester United previously keen.

United failed in their advances, with the Bavarian giants unflinching in their stance that he was not for sale.

However, Bayern brought in James Rodriguez from Real Madrid on a two-year loan deal last week.

And that could see Muller slip even further down the pecking order after his disastrous Euro 2016 showings.

Muller, who has 37 goals in 85 games for Germany, fired a blank during his country’s six games in the competition.

Carlo Ancelotti then left him on the bench for key Champions League clashes last season, with Muller netting just five times in 29 Bundesliga outings.

Chelsea are in need of a striker with Diego Costa partying his way towards a Stamford Bridge exit following his public falling out with Antonio Conte.

And Arsene Wenger has bagged Alexandre Lacazette for £52million but is still in the hunt for more firepower.

Klopp has spoken of Daniel Sturridge being in the best shape he has seen him in the German’s time at the club.

But the the injury-prone England international is the Reds boss’ only out-and-out striker.

Klopp has cash to spend and has seen a £66m offer for midfielder Naby Keita rejected by RB Leipzig.
