Jose Mourinho remains tight-lipped on Manchester United’s move for Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic
The Special One refused to give away anything on a potential deal after United's 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake
JOSE MOURINHO remained tight-lipped on Manchester United's move for Ivan Perisic.
United are nearing a £39.5million agreement with Inter Milan for the Croatian winger after months of being linked to with a move.
But The Special One refused to give away anything on a potential deal for Perisic, 28, after United's 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake.
Mourinho said: "No idea. No idea my friend."
United’s Executive Vice Chairman Ed Woodward has stayed behind in Manchester to try and get the deal done while the squad are out here in the US.
Perisic left the Inter training camp last week to have dental work done back in his native Croatia.
He is expected to return to Milan and travel to China for the pre-season tour of China.
Mourinho said last week in Los Angeles that the club were only half way to completing their transfer business this summer.
United have splashed out £75million striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton and £31million on centre-back Victor Lindelof from Benfica so far.
Inter had been holding out until they got a replacement but now look close to signing Lazio’s Keita Balde and that will release Perisic.
Mourinho had wanted Nemanja Matic from Chelsea but that deal looks to have been scuppered after United pinched Lukaku from under the Champions noses.
He now looks set to move to Juventus.
