Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez ‘is PSG’s plan A this summer with Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho their plan B’

Multiple reports in France say club have been in contact with Sanchez's agent in the last week

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are looking at two Premier League stars as they bid to regain their Ligue 1 title from Monaco.

According to multiple reports in France, the cash-rich club have made Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez their top target - but will turn to Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho if Sanchez doesn't work out.

Sanchez, 28, is yet to sign a new deal at the Emirates and has just a year left on his contract.

According to both L'Equipe and Le Parisien, PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has already made contact with Sanchez's representatives in the last week.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is hoping to try and convince Sanchez, who is currently on an extended break in Chile, to stay at the Emirates.

But the long-time Gunners manager also doesn't want to lose the star forward for nothing, and could be willing to cash in.

Wenger may be willing to listen to offers over £50million.

But the French manager will cave in to Sanchez's demands and offer him a bumper deal worth £275,000-a-week - although it may not be enough with the Chilean stating at the weekend that he wants Champions League football.

Speaking while in Chile, where he is on an extended break after playing in the Confederations Cup, Sanchez offered a cryptic message to Arsenal fans.

He said: "The decision isn’t down to me. I need to wait for Arsenal.

"The idea is to play and win the Champions League. I’ve dreamt about it since I was a kid."

Coutinho remains PSG's 'Plan B', although Liverpool are in a much stronger position to keep their Brazilian star.

Coutinho only signed a new five-year deal to stay at Anfield until 2022 and appears happy in Red.

The 25-year-old does not have a release clause in his contract and Jurgen Klopp would reject all offers for him below at least £80million.

It may cost closer to £90m for Coutinho, who has been linked with PSG all summer.

But the Brazilian said earlier this month he is happy at Anfield.

"Talking about [transfers] is complicated," he said.

"I have a contract with my club and it is long.

"So my focus is on the present and the national team. My focus is here."
