And in Arsenal's case it was true.
For the Gunners hit the stage in Shanghai at a fan party.
New boy Alexandre Lacazette, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mesut Ozil brought the house down with their rendition of the dance classic.
Supporters who cheered them on at Manderin Oriental Hotel cheered their heroes to the rafters.
The Gunners put on a classic show as part of the pre-season tour of China.
Lacazette, the £52million signing from Lyon, scored after just 15 minutes of his debut against Sydney FC.
ARSENAL TRANSFER NEWS
Arsenal have won both their pre-season friendlies in Australia and are currently in China.
They will play German champions Bayern Munich on Wednesday and Premier League champions Chelsea on Saturday.
In the meantime the boys enjoyed a welcome night off as they mixed with Far Eastern supporters who were delighted to see their heroes in the flesh.
