EVERTON face Brann Bergen of Norway or Slovakia's Ruzomberok in their Europa League third round qualifier.

It's been two years since the Blues were last on the continent.

But Wayne Rooney and his new team-mates will fancy their chances of making the group stages of the competition.

Brann Bergen hold a 1-0 lead from the first leg earlier this week and host the Slovakians in the second leg on July 20.

Everton will take on the winners  at Goodison Park on July 27 with the away leg on August 3.

SK Brann play in the Eliteserien, Norway's first tier, while MFK Ruzomberok are one of 12 teams in the Slovakian Super Liga.

The Brann Stadion has a capacity of 17, 967 but the Stadion MFK Ružomberok has room for only 4,817 fans.

So it means Everton fans face a major tussle for tickets should the Slovakians win through.

In any case both side will be heavy underdogs against Everton, who qualified for the Europa League thanks to Rooney and Manchester United's victory over Ajax in last season's final.

This will be the Toffees' first season in the Europa League since 2014/15, when they reached the round of 16.

Ronald Koeman's team have never progressed beyond that stage in either the Europa League or Champions League.

They do have a European trophy win under their belt, though - the Cup Winners' Cup in 1984/85.

Koeman has several reinforcements on show this season in Rooney, Michael Keane from Burnley and Jordan Pickford from Sunderland.

Elsewhere, seven-time European Cup winners AC Milan will travel to Romania for their maiden UEFA Europa League fixture following the third qualifying round draw in Nyon.

The draw featured four former European Cup winners in AC Milan, Crvena zvezda, Marseille and PSV Eindhoven.

Everton are currently on tour in Tanzania where Rooney took just 35 minutes to score on his second coming for the Toffees.

The striker fired home from 25 yards to give Everton fans a taste of what is hopefully to come in the Premier League.
