Hinds follows Chris Willock in exiting Arsene Wenger's side.

Willock made just two appearances under the French boss and opted for a five-year deal with Benfica after rejecting a contract extension at the Emirates.

Wolfsburg did not declare how much Hinds cost - but Goal report the move set them back in the region of £2million.

Hinds has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 levels.

He signed a new contract at Arsenal as recently as January - but did not make a first-team breakthrough. Hinds spent the second half of last season on loan with League Two side Stevenage.

The forward will join up with the Gunners' former academy head Andries Jonker in Germany.

Current Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker will retire at the end of the season.

The German will take over the club's academy and be tasked with keeping hold of starlets.
