Riyad Mahrez facing uncertain future with Arsenal not willing to meet Leicester’s £50m valuation
The Algerian winger has been chased by the Gunners for the past two transfer windows
RIYAD MAHREZ is facing an uncertain future this summer with Arsenal refusing to meet Leicester's £50m valuation.
The Algerian winger - who has been chased by the Gunners for the past two transfer windows - is one of Arsene Wenger's top targets.
Mahrez handed in a transfer request earlier this year, and wants to quit the Foxes after a disappointing campaign following their title win.
He is understood to have an agreement with the club that he will be allowed to leave this summer should a suitable offer come in.
The 26-year-old has been waiting for a dream move to Barcelona, but has given up on that as the Spanish giants dither over a deal.
Mahrez is now expected to start pre-season training with Leicester when they return from their summer holidays on Friday.
Arsenal transfer news
Mahrez failed to live up to his excellent form during Leicester's Premier League title season during the last campaign.
He bagged just six goals and three assists, compared to the 17 and 11 respectively in the 2015-16 season.
