Manchester United’s new home kit blasted by fans as Adidas reveal price for just the shirt is a staggering £90
Red Devils supporters not happy with costly price and boring design as new jersey goes on sale ahead of pre-season tour
ANGRY fans have blasted Manchester United’s new home kit – with the jersey alone costing a staggering £90.
The Red Devils unveiled their latest offering this morning, with Adidas and Chevrolet adorning the classic red strip.
But supporters were not overly impressed with the fresh design, which sees the famous three stripes move to the shoulders.
The shirt also includes a button collar, but it was the enormous price which really caught the eye.
Manchester United’s authentic home shirt will set fans back £89.95.
It’s “the same jersey Man Utd players wear as they dominate at home” and includes various features which put it above the classic replica tops.
The shirt’s description on Adidas’ website reads: “The sight of Man Utd’s red-and-white kit on the pitch can evoke dread or respect.
“This men’s pique jersey is part of the official home kit of the Old Trafford giants. It mixes classic football looks with terrace-inspired details like contract-colour cuffs and a grandad collar.”

@lordoftheundead concluded: “Instead of changing the sleeve border and the collar year after year… You should drop some creativity on that iconic shirt.”
