Jose Mourinho still wants Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United… even if he brings in Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid

JOSE MOURINHO still wants Romelu Lukaku — even if he brings in Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

But the Manchester United boss will have to sort out the bad blood between himself and the Belgian star.

Lukaku, rated at £100million by Everton,   still holds a grudge against the Special One — who sold him to the Toffees in 2014 for £28m after sending him on loan to Goodison and West Brom.

The striker, 24, who has hit 51 goals in his last two seasons on Merseyside, sees a return to Stamford Bridge as a dream move.

But he is willing to talk to Mourinho.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants Lukaku back at the Bridge but the Italian is unwilling to pay Everton’s huge asking price.

While doubts remain about where he will go — with Everton already spending much of the money they expect to get for him — Lukaku wants to explore all his options.

And now that United are back in the Champions League, where Lukaku has always said he wanted to play, he is ready to listen to Mourinho’s plans for him.

The Old Trafford boss, frustrated that a deal for Morata has not been done with Real asking for £20m more than United’s £60m bid, has always wanted two strikers this summer.

He lost the chance to sign Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann when the Spaniards were handed a transfer ban and switched targets to Morata.

But grabbing Lukaku has always been one of his major aims.
