RON'S RASH MOVE

Marcus Rashford poses with Ronaldinho as Man Utd star copies England pal Jesse Lingard

Old Trafford striker's snap with Brazil and Barcelona legend is posted on Instagram as he relaxes on holiday in Miami

MARCUS RASHFORD posed with Brazilian legend Ronaldinho - tempting more comparisons between himself and the former Barcelona magician.

Ronaldinho posted the snap on Instagram, days after he was pictured with Rashford's England and United pal Jesse Lingard.

Former Old Trafford midfielder Quinton Fortune claimed last year that Rashford is similar to Ronaldinho.

But the 19-year-old is facing a crucial season as he attempts to persuade United boss Jose Mourinho he is ready to become a regular.

Mourinho has been linked with big-money frontmen all summer.

Antoine Griezmann ended talk of a move to Old Trafford by signing a new deal with Atletico Madrid.

But Mourinho might still hope to prise Harry Kane from Tottenham, even though Spurs have consistently said the England forward is not for sale.

So Everton's former Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku seems United's likeliest recruit.

Rashford, though, still aims to play more than he did in 2016-17, when he started 30 games for United, came off the bench 23 times and finished with 11 goals.

He has been relaxing with close friend Lingard on holiday in Miami.

But soon Rashford must knuckle down to pre-season training in his attempt to unseat Zlatan Ibrahimovic and any newcomers as United's main striker.

Ronaldinho, meanwhile, can keep taking it easy as he retired last year.

The 37-year-old bagged 33 goals in 97 games for Brazil.

His peak spell in club football was at the Camp Nou from 2003 to 2008, when he hit 70 goals in 145 matches.
