Miserable summer continues for managerless Black Cats as head talent spotters leaves the Stadium of Light
CRISIS club Sunderland have been rocked by chief scout Mick Doherty leaving.
The relegated outfit have yet to sign a player for next season.
They are still also in the middle of takeover talks as they look for a manager.
And now former Chelsea and Everton spy Doherty, the talent spotter who found Wayne Rooney, has decided to quit his post.
Doherty was brought in by David Moyes but carried on working after he left.
However, he has now chosen to walk out on the job at the Stadium of Light.

Meanwhile, things continue to get bleaker and bleaker on Wearside for the Black Cats.
Jurgen Klinsmann became the FIFTH man to snub the position of Sunderland boss.
The former USA head coach was wanted to take charge in the dug-out.
The Championship side are talking to a German consortium , who want to appoint their own man should they buy the club.
But it will not be the currently unemployed Klinsmann.
He wrote on his Facebook page: “No truth on rumours coaching Sunderland FC in the near future.”
Klinsmann joins Derek McInnes, Nigel Pearson, Chris Wilder and Garry Monk in rejecting the job.
