Carabao Cup semi-final draw: Bristol City to play Manchester City while Chelsea face rivals Arsenal
The draw was made moments after The Robins had dramatically dumped Manchester United out of the competition
BRISTOL CITY'S reward for dumping Manchester United out of this season's Carabao Cup is a semi-final clash against Manchester City.
The Championship club will head to the Etihad for the first leg, before hosting the Premier League giants at home in the second.
Meanwhile in the other semi-final, Chelsea will face Arsenal home and away.
The Carabao Cup semi-final ties will take place over two legs.
The first matches scheduled to be played the week commencing January 8.
The reverse fixtures will be held in the week commencing 22.
Bristol City sprang the biggest surprise of the quarter-final ties beating Manchester United to land themselves a plum clash against Pep Guardiola's Premier League table-toppers.
The crowd could not contain themselves at the end with many invading the pitch after the Championship side had overhauled the 20 times Champions and holders of the Carabao Cup.

Korey Smith hooked home an injury-time winner to give Bristol City one of the greatest nights in their history.
