WEST BROM want a manager with Premier League experience to replace Tony Pulis.

Ronald Koeman, Slaven Bilic, Sam Allarydce and Alan Pardew are all on their wish list as the search for Pulis’ successor got under way today.

But Albion bosses are understood to have ruled out a move for Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill simply because he has not managed at this level.

The club want someone who understands how the Premier League works.

Pulis was sacked purely on results after a nightmare run of just two wins in 21 over two seasons began to bite.

Fans turned on the Welshman who seemed resigned to his fate on Saturday after the 4-0 defeat by Chelsea.

The Baggies board had intended to give Pulis until Christmas to turn their firm around.

But the defeat at Huddersfield combined with the Chelsea result meant the writing was on the wall for Pulis.

Chinese owner Gouchouan Lai witnessed the Chelsea game and held talks with chairman John Williams after.

Lai bought the club from ex chairman Jeremy Peace knowing that Pulis had never been relegated.

But as soon as Albion looked like heading towards the bottom three, Pulis’ days were numbered.

Koeman was sacked by Everton after a terrible start to the season and Bilic suffered a similar fate at West Ham.

But both will be considered with Albion keen to appoint as soon as possible.

Former West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace boss Pardew is also keen to get back into the game.

Allardyce turned down the chance to manage Everton on a short term basis but could be on Albion’s list.
