Perennially crocked Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has cost the Galacticos £900,000 a game
Bale's long list of injury woes have left him on the sidelines yet again, and it's costing Madrid a bomb
GARETH BALE has cost Real Madrid a staggering £937,000 per game - and missed nearly HALF.
The Welshman has only played 159 games in the famous Los Blancos colours since his £77million move from Tottenham in 2013.
With his reported £290,000-a-week salary, plus the transfer fee, the Galacticos have paid out almost £150m on him.
Although his debut season in 2013-14 couldn't have gone much better, scoring the winner in the Champions League final, it's been a steady decline since for the 28-year-old.
Bale has been injured a whopping 19 times since going to the Bernabeu, on average just under four injuries a season.
Just as it looked like the Welsh star was returning to full fitness, it was revealed he suffered a hamstring injury in training on Thursday.
Madrid released a statement saying Bale suffered a tear in his hamstring and could be out for yet another month.
The Galacticos would have expected more than a 55 per cent appearance record, missing just under half of the minutes he could have played.
Madrid have been successful in the period since he's joined, with three Champions Leagues, as well as La Liga and Copa del Rey trophies.
While the Welshman can rest easy in the trophy department, he hasn't won over the intense Madrid fans.
As Bale spends more and more time on the sidelines, it only gives his replacements, Isco and Marco Asensio the time to shine.
