Tim Cahill declared fit to travel for Australia’s World Cup playoff with Honduras
Socceroos handed major boost as veteran forward Cahill will go to San Pedro Sula to face Honduras on Friday
The Australian national team confirm that Tim Cahill will join his teammates on the trip to Honduras.
Fans had been sweating on the news of his ankle injury picked up during Melbourne City's defeat to Sydney FC on Friday.
That news is good for the Socceroos, as the 37-year-old has recovered in time for the first leg of their World Cup qualifier.
VFL Bochum's Robbie Kruse misses the clash after suffering a knock in their 2.Bundesliga match.
The amount of playing time the veteran will receive is still yet to be known, until they assess the full extent of the injury.
He joins up with the rest of the squad a day later, on Monday, and even his presence will provide a lift to the team.

Cahill played a pivotal role in Australia's qualifying campaign, with a crucial two goals in their second leg win over Syria.
That took his total to a milestone 50 goals, in just 103 appearances, becoming their talisman.
Football Federation Australia said in a statement: "Cahill’s delayed departure to Honduras is part of the monitoring and rehabilitation process that has been put in place for an ankle injury.”
Kruse, and suspended duo Matthew Leckie and Mark Milligan will be back for the second-leg on November 15.
