Arsenal legend Thierry Henry criticises Liverpool new boy Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s ability: ‘I still don’t know what he’s good at’
Thierry Henry launches attack at former Arsenal midfield Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, saying he doesn't know what he's actually good at.
The Ox stated his intentions to secure a central position at Anfield, but Henry believes he could struggle to cement a first-team spot.
The 24-year-old completed his summer switch to Liverpool for a fee of £35million.
Following six years with Arsenal, the Ox was convinced to move by Jurgen Klopp's attacking philosophy and character.
However, the midfielder was mocked on Twitter after being named on the bench for Liverpool's Premier League clash against Manchester City.
In the studio ahead of the match, the Arsenal icon and Sky Sports pundit was less convinced about the 24-year-old's motivation behind leaving the Gunners.
Henry said: "He spoke on the Liverpool website about that he could see Klopp making him a better player and that there's a love and togetherness.
"Are you telling us you didn't have that at Arsenal?
"Or are you looking forward to something else? He's saying that after an hour of training at Liverpool.
"You have to bring something on the table. I have been watching him for a very long time and I still don't know what he's good at.
"You can find out on all players what they are not good at, but normally you also find out what they are good at.
"He needs to bring something to the table and give something to work with."
The Ox has claimed that he wants to be the new Steven Gerrard at Anfield after revealing Jordan Henderson has been telling him to move for five years.
The summer transfer window was one the craziest we have ever seen.
