Team news

Tottenham have named an attacking line up for their match against Burnley with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min both starting.

And midfielder Mousa Dembele makes his 200th appearance for the club since moving from Fulham.

Sean Dyche opts against giving Chris Wood his full debut, leaving the former Leeds man on the bench.

⚽IAN WRIGHT: Spurs v Burnley betting preview⚽

By Ian Wright

THE supposed August curse on Harry Kane is nonsense.

It's not as if he's falling over. He’s been hitting the woodwork and getting the best out of opposing keepers.

I’m so sure the curse is utter b****cks that I’m tipping Harry to net this weekend.

ADD TO YOUR BETSLIP: Kane to score first and Spurs to win 2-0

However, Pochettino has claimed that he is not concerned and believes that he will feature against Sean Dyche's side.

Spurs have recently shaken up their tactics and reverted back to a safe back four, with Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama creating the central midfield partnership.

Fact me

Tottenham have won four and lost just one of their previous six Premier League meetings with Burnley
(W4 D1 L1).
o Burnley have suffered a defeat in all three of their Premier League away games at Tottenham Hotspur;
the last two of which have ended 1-2.
o The Clarets’ last league win against Tottenham Hotspur in London came back in October 1974 in the top-
flight (3-2).
o Burnley will be making their first appearance at Wembley Stadium since the 2008-09 Championship play-
off final, which they won 1-0 against Sheffield United.
o Following their 1-2 defeat to Chelsea on MD2, Tottenham Hotspur have lost seven of their last 10
matches at Wembley Stadium (W1 D2 L7).
o Burnley failed to attempt a shot on target in their MD2 defeat to West Brom. This is the third occasion
since the start of last season that they haven’t attempted a single shot on target in a Premier League
match; no team has failed to do so on more occasions in this period.
o Burnley have won their last two Premier League away matches in London; 2-0 at Crystal Palace in April
and 3-2 vs Chelsea on MD1 – before these two games, they’d picked up just two points in 15 Premier
League trips to the capital (W0 D2 L13).
o Sean Dyche’s side won just one game and seven points from their 19 Premier League away games in
2016-17, but equalled their away win total in 2017-18 on MD1 at Chelsea (3-2).
o Harry Kane has now had 34 shots and played 12 games in the month of August without scoring in the
Premier League.
o Tottenham's all-time top scorer in games at Wembley is own goals, with Michy Batshuayi's last weekend
being the fifth netted in favour of them at the Stadium.
