MK Dons 1 Swansea City 4: Paul Clement sweating on Kyle Bartley’s fitness as KO mars Carabao Cup win
Swans defender faces a spell on the sidelines after hyperextending his knee towards the end of comeback victory
SWANSEA'S Carabao Cup victory over MK Dons was overshadowed by a potentially serious injury to Kyle Bartley.
Boss Paul Clement is sweating over his defender's fitness after he hyperextended his knee in the closing stages.
Ryan Seager gave the Dons a shock lead but Leroy Fer's double gave the Swans a one-goal advantage.
And Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham scored his first goal for the club before Jordan Ayew's strike completed a comfortable victory.
After the comeback win, Clement said: “Kyle went up for a header. He hyperextended the knee and came down it.
“He felt his knee, but we are not sure the extent of the injury at the moment.
“We hope it’s not a bad one and we will see him back shortly, but there will have to be further analysis on it.”
Bartley, 26, is being given a chance in the Swans first team after impressing on loan at Leeds last season.

And Clement admits he would be a huge loss if out of an extended period.
The Swans chief added: “He had such a good season at Leeds. He has come back and done well and he played well against Manchester United.
“He did well again tonight – he is nice and solid. He has good leadership qualities and good character. We just hope it is not a bad injury.”
