Hull City transfer news: Huddersfield and Swansea target Sam Clucas denies going on strike after being left out of QPR defeat
Midfielder takes to Twitter after Tigers chief Leonid Slutsky confirms why he was not included for London trip, which ended in an injury-time loss
HULL boss Leonid Slutsky confirmed he left Sam Clucas out of the 2-1 defeat at QPR due to speculation about his future.
But the Tigers midfielder - a target for Burnley, Huddersfield and Swansea - has denied going on strike in a response to a fan on Twitter.
Asked why the former Chesterfield playmaker was not involved, Slutsky replied: "He is preparing to play for another club".
But after being accused of downing tools, Clucas tweeted: "I didn't and would never do that to a club I owe a lot".
Hull are holding out for £20million for Clucas, 26, and have already turned down a £10m bid from Burnley.
Swansea are considering using some of their Gylfi Sigurdsson cash to sign the Tigers star, while the newly-promoted Terriers want to bolster their midfield.
Newcastle chief Rafa Benitez was also plotting a raid but was priced out by Hull's valuation.
Jared Bowen gave the Tigers a half-time lead against the run of play as he turned in David Meyler's cross.
