Neymar congratulates Paulinho on Barcelona move as fellow Brazilian completes unlikely swap
Tottenham flop has sensationally joined one of the world's biggest clubs in a £36.5m switch just two years after joining Guangzhou Evergrande
BARCELONA stunned the football world when they signed Paulinho - but Neymar approves at least.
The Catalans made the Tottenham flop their first signing since netting a £198million windfall from Paris Saint-Germain.
Fans were underwhelmed at best by the £36.5m capture but Neymar took to Instagram to congratulate his fellow Brazilian.
Alongside a picture of the two of them, he wrote "Brother, all the fortunes of the world for you ... I hope you are as happy as I was."
Paulinho is set to be unveiled on Thursday - a day after the return leg of the Super Cup.
Real Madrid hold a 3-1 advantage from the Nou Camp as Barca struggled in Neymar's absence but will be without Cristiano Ronaldo after his five-match ban.
Barcelona are set to continue spending after Gerard Deulofeu took Neymar's spot for the defeat against their bitter rivals.
They are chasing a £90m deal for Dortmund flier Ousmane Dembele, while Philippe Coutinho is another top target.
Latest Barcelona news
Liverpool have been fighting to keep the Brazilian and are holding firm despite their star playmaker handing in a transfer request.
But after he was left out of the squad for the trip to Hoffenheim, Coutinho looks to be edging closer to a move.
Until then however, Paulinho will try and complete an incredible journey from White Hart Lane benchwarmer to Nou Camp star - via China.
