Everton holding out for £35m fee for Ross Barkley with Tottenham refusing to pay £125,000-a-week wage demands
England international would want to become one of Tottenham's top earners on £100,000-a-week
TOTTENHAM fear Ross Barkley could price himself out of a move from Everton.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to land the midfielder who looks set to quit Goodison Park.
But the North London club know he was offered just over £100,000 a week to stay with Ronald Koeman’s men - which is more than top earners Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane get at White Hart Lane.
And with Everton looking for at least £35 million for a player with 12 months left on his contract, chairman Daniel Levy will definitely think twice before launching a raid.
Boss Poch is a big fan of the 23 year-old and wants to help him kickstart his England career.
But Levy is hell bent on not following the likes of Manchester City and spending crazy amounts in the transfer market this summer - especially when he'd be available for free next year.
Spurs boss Pochettino has been quiet in the transfer window but has insisted they will spend money.
