Arsene Wenger insists Alexis Sanchez is going nowhere and it won’t be the same Robin van Persie transfer saga
Dutch striker left the Gunners with one-year left on his contract before firing Manchester United to the title
ARSENE WENGER has insisted that contract rebel Alexis Sanchez 'is not for sale' and it is not another case of Robin van Persie.
The Dutch striker left the Gunners with one year left on his contract to rivals Manchester United where he helped fire them to Premier League glory.
Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates as he aims to play Champions League football.
The Chilean also has just one-year left on his current contract but has been offered a whopping £275,000-a-week deal to commit his future to the club.
As he continues to delay putting pen to paper, Sanchez's latest quotes on his future has given his clearest indication yet that he is ready to leave.
But boss Wenger is adamant he will remain an Arsenal player by claiming a "decision has been made."
Reported by Sky Sports, he said: "The decision has been made and we will stick to that.
"The decision is not to sell.

"Every case is different, Van Persie was going from 30 to 31, when he left he had one year on his contract - Sanchez is younger."
Sanchez has been linked with big-money moves to Premier League rivals Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
And the Arsenal gaffer was quick to play down Sanchez's comments regarding playing in Europe's elite competition.
He added: "I don't give too much importance to things that are translated.
"The whole interview that I got didn't really mean that.
"The main focus for us is to concentrate on the Premier League and the Premier League for me today is more important than the Champions League.
"We rested sometimes players in the group stages of the Champions League for the Premier League so that's become the biggest importance for us.
"We played 20 years in the Champions League, that's 17 years before Sanchez arrive and three years with him so he can get us back in there."
