MEMPHIS DEPAY has stepped up training regime to be fit for the new season... a day after puffing on a cigar.

The ex-Manchester United flop has enjoyed an eventful summer which saw him get engaged to partner Lori Harvey in California.

But his time off has now taken him to Italy where he was put through an intense training session by his girlfriend's comedian father, Steve.

The Lyon ace was spotted jogging before sprinting the streets of Portafino whilst wearing a training mask.

After he shared a huge grin whilst devouring a Gelato - a type of Italian ice cream.

Just 24 hours before he was snapped chomping on a huge cigar sporting a floral shirt, shades and white chinos.

Depay has also found time to release a bizarre new rap single with Holland team-mate Quincy Promes.

After teasing his fans that the duo would release a new number, the 23-year-old to Instagram last Friday to unveil 'LA Vibes Freestyle 1.0'.

Depay is due back in France for pre-season training with Lyon next week.

He will be keen to continue the impressive form he recaptured on leaving Old Trafford for France in a £21.6million switch in January.

Depay scored five goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances as Lyon earned a Europa League spot with a fourth-placed finish behind Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Nice.
