A West Ham fan was sent tumbling as he leapt in front of a child to snag Mark Noble's West Ham shirt at Wembley.

Noble acknowledged the crowd after their impressive comeback win over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, and launched his claret shirt into the front row.

The West Ham jersey was thrust in the direction of a young fan, but two men to his left lunged in front of the boy and one crashed into railings separating fans from the pitch before hitting the deck.

Despite his best efforts, the West Ham fan was left on his back without the souvenir shirt as it slipped through his fingers during the tumble.

West Ham supporters were in buoyant mood after watching Slaven Bilic's fringe players lift some of the gloom surrounding the club with an impressive comeback win over Tottenham.

The trip to Wembley was the first of two crucial games as Bilic fights to save his job after a disappointing start to the Premier League season.

The Hammers have won just two of their opening nine League fixtures and crashed to a disappointing 3-0 defeat at home to Brighton last Friday.

But a double from Andre Atew cancelled out Tottenham's 2-0 lead at the national stadium and Angelo Ogbonna's header put West Ham in the hat for the League Cup Quarter-Finals.

West Ham now head to Selhurst Park to face rock-bottom Crystal Palace, where defeat would leave Bilic staring down the barrell once more.
