Vincent Janssen promises to see Tottenham fans again after confirming a loan move to Fenerbahce.

The striker will spend the season at the Turkish giants, joined by former Spurs man Roberto Soldado, after falling further down the pecking order in north London.

Following Fernando Llorente's £12million arrival from Swansea City, Janssen was the only fit first-team players not included in Tottenham's Champions League squad for the group stage.

Mauricio Pochettino insisted on Thursday that Janssen has a future at Spurs and the Dutchman has hinted at a return when confirming his exit on Twitter.

Janssen arrived at Spurs from AZ last summer but managed just two goals in the Premier League. He played just one minute of football this season.

In addition to Soldado, Janssen will also fight for a starting place with Robin van Persie.

Spurs have previously loaned former striker Sergei Rebrov, another signing considered a flop, to the Turkish side back in 2002.
